Bathroom Remodeling for Edgewater, MD, Homes

A bathroom doesn’t have to be falling apart to need an update. Maybe the tub hasn't been used in years. Maybe the shower feels cramped, dated, or harder to maintain than it should. Or perhaps getting in and out safely has become more important for you or someone in your household.

Coastal Bath Company helps homeowners in Edgewater, Maryland, make practical changes to the tub and shower area without taking on an unnecessary full-bath renovation. From tub-to-shower conversions and replacement showers to walk-in tubs and accessibility upgrades, we focus on creating bathrooms that look better, feel more comfortable, and fit your routine.

Turn an Unused Tub Into a Shower You'll Actually Use

For many homeowners, the bathtub takes up valuable space without providing much value. A tub-to-shower conversion replaces that underused tub with a shower designed for easier access and everyday convenience.

We remove the existing bathtub and build the new shower within the same general footprint, helping you make better use of the room without completely rearranging the bathroom. Bath Planet acrylic wall systems provide a durable, antimicrobial surface that is easier to maintain than traditional tile and grout, while available Moen fixtures let you finish the space to your preferences.

Our factory-certified installers complete your project rather than passing it between subcontractors. Depending on the project, some installations can be completed in as little as one day.

More Ways to Update Your Edgewater Bathroom

Not every household needs the same solution. We offer several wet-space remodeling options depending on what you want to change and how you use the bathroom.

Replacement Bathtubs

If you still use and enjoy having a bathtub, there’s no reason to give it up. Our replacement bathtubs provide a fresh, durable acrylic surface in a range of styles and finishes, giving the wet space an updated look without requiring a complete bathroom renovation.

Replacement Showers

An aging shower can become difficult to clean and make the entire bathroom feel dated. Our replacement showers use durable acrylic wall systems that provide an updated appearance without the grout maintenance associated with traditional tile.

Walk-In Tubs

For homeowners who want to continue enjoying a tub with easier entry, walk-in bathtubs provide a lower threshold and built-in features designed for greater comfort and accessibility.

Shower-to-Tub Conversions

Sometimes a previous renovation removed a feature your household now needs. A shower-to-tub conversion can bring a bathtub back into the bathroom when your family, lifestyle, or preferences call for one.

Tub-and-Shower Configurations

When you want the flexibility of both options without dedicating space to separate fixtures, our bathroom conversions can create a tub-and-shower configuration within the existing wet space.

Build More Safety Into the Bathroom

Many accessibility improvements can be added directly into an updated tub or shower so they feel like a natural part of the design.

Depending on your needs, bath safety accessories and remodeling options can include:

• Grab bars placed where additional support is most useful

• Lower-entry shower configurations for easier access

• Anti-slip surfaces that provide better footing

• Walk-in tubs with a lower step-in height

• Shower layouts designed with additional room to move

These features can help after mobility changes, but you don't have to wait for a fall or injury to start thinking ahead.

Bathroom Remodeling That Fits Your Priorities and Budget

Some Edgewater homeowners come to us because they want a cleaner, more modern bathroom. Others want to make the space easier for an aging parent or plan ahead for their own needs. Often, it’s a combination of both.

Cost is part of that decision too, and we offer financing options through GreenSky, Moment, and Foundation for qualified homeowners.
