Acrylic Showers Designed for Homes Across the Delmarva Region
The best shower is one you don't have to think about. It stays clean with minimal effort, holds up to everyday use, and fits your lifestyle. If your current shower has become more frustrating than functional, an acrylic shower installation offers a fresh start with lasting performance and modern style.
Coastal Bath Company installs custom Bath Planet acrylic shower systems for homeowners throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey. Whether you're replacing an outdated shower or reimagining your bathing space, we'll help you find a solution that's designed around your home and professionally installed by our factory-certified team.
Why Acrylic Has Become a Preferred Material for Modern Showers
There's a reason acrylic has become a go-to material for modern shower systems. It combines the durability homeowners want with the low-maintenance performance that older materials often struggle to provide. Instead of relying on grout lines and porous surfaces, acrylic creates a smooth, integrated shower that's designed for everyday use.
Unlike tile, acrylic doesn't require grout that can crack, discolor, or need periodic sealing. Its non-porous surface resists moisture, making it more difficult for mold, mildew, and soap residue to build up over time. Bath Planet acrylic also features antimicrobial protection built directly into the material—not applied as a surface coating—so it continues to provide lasting performance year after year.
Beyond its low-maintenance benefits, acrylic is engineered to withstand everyday use. It resists fading, cracking, and everyday wear while maintaining its appearance, making it a long-lasting investment for homeowners who want a shower that's as practical as it is attractive. That's why Coastal Bath Company installs Bath Planet acrylic shower systems throughout Delaware, Maryland, the greater Delmarva region, and surrounding communities.
Acrylic Shower Options from Coastal Bath Company
Whether you're replacing an aging shower, creating a more accessible bathing space, or updating an unused bathtub, Coastal Bath Company offers acrylic shower solutions designed to fit your home, your lifestyle, and your long-term goals.
If your existing shower has cracked tile, a worn surround, or outdated finishes, a full shower replacement can give your bathroom a fresh start. Our custom Bath Planet acrylic shower systems are designed to enhance both the appearance and functionality of your space while reducing the maintenance required by older shower materials.
If your bathtub sees more dust than use, a tub-to-shower conversion can make better use of the space you already have. Replacing an unused tub with a spacious acrylic walk-in shower creates a more open, accessible bathroom without expanding its footprint.
A walk-in shower combines modern design with everyday convenience. Whether you're planning to age in place or simply want easier access, your new shower can be customized with low-threshold entry, built-in seating, grab bars, and other features that enhance comfort and confidence.
Your shower walls do more than complete the look of your bathroom—they help protect it from everyday moisture. Our custom acrylic wall systems create a seamless, grout-free surround that's easy to maintain, highly durable, and available in a variety of colors, textures, and finishes to complement your style.

Frequently Asked Questions About Acrylic Shower Installation
Acrylic's biggest practical advantage is its surface. Because it's non-porous, it doesn't absorb moisture, which means no grout to seal, crack, or discolor over time. Bath Planet acrylic includes antimicrobial treatment to limit bacterial growth. For a side-by-side look at how acrylic stacks up against another common material, see our acrylic vs. fiberglass comparison post.
Most standard acrylic shower replacement projects are typically completed in a day. Tub-to-shower conversions may take longer depending on layout changes. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your in-home consultation.

5-Star Craftsmanship
I had my bathroom done last winter. Excellent experience from beginning with the first representative and continues now. Great workmanship , friendly employees and knowledgeable. Willing to explain everything they were doing and why. I would definitely recommend Coastal Bath to anyone. In fact I have done that several times.
Fantastic experience with Coastal Bath. Chris and Will were wonderful to work with. Arrived on time and worked efficiently to get our installation done in less than a day. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. We are thrilled with our result!
Our bathroom was remodeled yesterday by Chris and Will two amazing young men who did such a fabulous job. They pulled out the old bathtub installed a brand, new, beautiful walk-in shower. They were extremely professional and very friendly and extremely neat. When they were finally done, and I walked to the bathroom, I literally started to well up in my eyes because it was beautiful! Glad we found this company all done in one day!! Thank you for the great job!
From the salesperson to the installers to the office support this company was a pleasure to work with. The salesperson listened and helped us figure out what we wanted. The installers: Josh, Robert, and Chad were on time, explained what they were going to do and didn’t mind that I kept sticking my head in to see what they were doing. The office always had time to answer any questions I had when I called. I would recommend giving Coastal Bath a call for your needs.
I had my tub/shower replaced with a walk in shower. From beginning to end the experience was wonderful. Steve, my salesperson, worked with me to make sure I was happy. Kenny and Gene arrived on time, were professional and worked together to complete the job. I was most impressed that Nate stopped by throughout installation to check on progress. Thank you Coastal Bath!
We recently had a small corner shower replaced. The area that could be used for a new shower was not large enough for showers that are available in any of the big box or retail stores. They came out and measured the area and installed a perfect fitting shower stall that is fantastic in looks and functionality.
Frank and his team are outstanding professionals, highly experienced and deeply knowledgeable. I recommend them highly!
Had new shower put in during May 2025. I needed two things tweaked which Coastal did asap. I waited for a couple of months to do review to be sure everything goes well after the initial installation. My new shower is EXACTLY what I wanted.
Coastal bath installed three showers in my new home build. The installers were on time and finished the three installs ahead of schedule. The installers were professional and were experts installing the showers. I love the wave wall panel and the classic concrete side panels. The showers are beautiful.
